The Mitchell Insurance Agency and the Selective Insurance Group Foundation Provide Grant as Part of Regional Initiative for Community Impact.
NEWTON – 9/27/20 The Mitchell Insurance Agency and the Selective Insurance Group Foundation (Foundation) partnered to support the efforts of Coupons for the Community through a $1,000 grant.
Coupons for the Community was selected by the Mitchell Insurance Agency for the grant as part of the Selective President’s Club Matching Gift initiative, which allows premier independent insurance agents the opportunity
to double their donations and make a bigger impact in the communities where they live and work. This is the 13th matching gift that Mitchell has earned as part of its distinction as one of Selective’s President’s Club agencies for 13 years.
The President’s Club Matching Gift program is run by the Selective Insurance Group Foundation, which is a philanthropic affiliate of Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SIGI). Together with President’s Club agencies, such as the Mitchell Insurance Agency, the Foundation has supported thousands of community-based and national nonprofits in regions across the country since its inception in 2002.
“We are glad to help out a nonprofit organization like Coupons for the Community who are dedicated in providing food and toiletries to food pantries, soup kitchens, and social service agencies in Sussex County” said Keith Mitchell, president of the agency.
The grant will help Coupons for the Community’s efforts to support their mission and belief that all people should have access to food, personal hygiene, and household products in an atmosphere of dignity and self-respect, and with the help of their volunteers they are able to utilize coupons and make each dollar that is donated go even further to support their goals.
