Claims Analysis

shutterstock_144026356Managing your risks is the best way to allow your business to operate at peak productivity and maximize profitability however, most people don’t have the time to analyze their own business.   At The Mitchell Agency, we would be happy to do that for you by reviewing your past claims to identify what your problem areas are and recommend solutions to reduce and/or eliminate factors that are contributing to your loss history. We can also identify factors that may lead to a potential claim and stop it before it happens!

Contract & Lease Review

At The Mitchell Insurance Agency, although we are not a law firm and can not provide legal advice, we understand the importance of contracts and leases that you business holds.  Many people do not understand that these items can have great impact on your policy and the coverage you should have.  We are here to review any contract or leases that you have and make sure you have the proper coverage you need.

Defensive Driving Courses

shutterstock_220331212One of the most common losses is car accidents. While not every accident can be totally avoided, knowing how to react in certain situations can help you to prevent or mitigate property damage and/or injuries.   The best way to become more educated behind the wheel is to take a defensive driving course.

We can help you to arrange a class for your employees with the experienced, well-trained Risk Management employees at the company or provide a class put on by our own staff.

These classes can also be used to provide insurance discounts for the employee’s own personal auto policy.

Please email contactus@themitchellagency.com to inquire about future course dates.

Disaster Preparation

There was a valuable lesson learned from super storm Sandy……most people were not prepared! While we all hope to never have to face another disastrous storm, we can provide both our personal and commercial customers with a plan to be ready in the event of another storm and advise of resources to help mitigate/prevent any damages in the event another storm hits.

Some events allow a little time to prepare while others may give you minutes or seconds to act upon.   Having a plan in place will give you peace of mind knowing that you, your family and your business are safe-guarded in the best possible way.

Call our office at 973-383-5800 to ask for your Disaster Preparation Plan!

The Mitchell Insurance Agency regularly conducts OSHA training courses to help broaden worker and employer knowledge on the recognition, avoidance and prevention of safety and health hazards in the workplace. These courses also offer training and educational materials that help businesses train their workers and comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

OSHA 10: The OSHA Outreach Training Program is OSHA’s primary way to train workers in the basics of occupational safety and health. The OSHA Construction Outreach Training Program was developed by the OSHA Training Institute with the intent to assist employers in training and introducing employees to the basic practices of identifying, reducing, eliminating and reporting hazards associated with their work. Upon completion of course, each student will receive an official certificate of completion.

OSHA Manufacturing and General Industries: Employers and Employees will be trained on a selected set of important OSHA regulations for manufacturing which include: OSHA regulations on Lockout and Tag Out of automation equipment, OSHA and ANSI regulations on Machine Guarding and safeguarding the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Factories, the use of safety warning labels and signs on machinery and manufacturing equipment, as well as lessons on Hazard Communication and Industrial Ergonomics. Every workers compensation claim impacts your experience modification factor.   The higher the factor, the more premium you pay! By analyzing your workers compensation claims, potential “errors” may be identified and corrected which would result in returned premiums, a lowered experience modification factor and make you a more desirable account.
